| | Hubby went shopping with me | | We never go shopping together unless it's for something really big like a car and we brought our last one 7 years ago. But today he asked If he could come to Cosco with me. Ok so off we went. The first thing he noticed was how much the store had changed. It now carries furniture and electronics, and more fresh produce. He really enjoyed himself and I left him to do the usual grocery shopping, well of corsue he found someone to talk to and spent most of his time talking, that was alright with me I got my stuff done and was on the way out when he caught up with me. All in all it went well. Do you and your other half shop together and if so how does it work out? | |

| spring vegies | | Are you enjoying asparagus? I have been buying it from Cosco in 2lbs packages. It takes the two of us 4 days to eat it all but we are loving it. Next week i don't think I'll get any because I think by then we will be sick of it. I just break it and put it in the microwave with a little water for about 4 mins, then serve with butter and salt and pepper. I like it this way as much as any other and I'm lazy.

| | getting my husband to do what I ask!! | | Okay. this is soooooo kooky but I just want to put i out there and maybe I can get some responses, at the very least I can just put it on something and I can start to feel a little bit better.
Anyhow, we are expecting our son in just a few short weeks. Iasked my husband for a very simple favor (at least I think it is): purchasing the diapers. I know from what I am always told you can never have enough diapers! We have already bought EVERYTHING else: plenty of clothes, a swing, a couple toys, car seat, stroller . . .. etc. Some diapers yes but I asked him to buy the diapers from cosco because he works RIGHT there whereas I don't work nearly as close as he does... but for some reason he just won't buy any??! So what is the deal here?
What his is buying is $500 worth of NINJA TURTLES and other action figures off of eBay. I don't get it. Am I going crazy, because I started complaining that he couls do something so simple, or is this okay??

| The best | | I had a cheesecake from Cosco and it was one of the best I've ever had, it was plain
not flavored but I don't think I'll ever make another one. All you need to do is add, fruit and it's great. I didn't buy it so I don't know how much it cost. But it served over 15 people. Try this next time you need one. | |

| What's your opinion on Wholesale Clubs? | | Do you shop at wholesale clubs like Sam's Club, BJ's or Cosco? Do you think they are a money saver or a time waster?
We have had a Sam's Club membership for years! We used to only go on weekends and walk around for the free samples, we called it "going out to lunch". Rarely would we buy anything. However I began to see their meat prices were much lower, and figured even though it's more than I'll use in a single dinner, I could freeze what I don't use and have some saved for a rainy day.
Now I shop at Sam's Club weekly and spend about $100. Instead of freezing the meat for a rainy day, I make it all that week. I'll buy one pork roast and it will give us 3 or 4 dinners for only $15.
Sam's Club also has great gas prices!What are your opinions of these wholesale clubs? | |
| | which playpen should i get? | | My daughter is climbing on & getting into everything...it is time for a playpen! I used to have a Graco Pack N Play...I liked it except it was a challenge to snap together & apart - this one was probably from the year 2000, maybe even sooner. I am seeing Evenflo & Cosco also make them...I generally like Graco more than the others, but am not sure what I want to get or if they've gotten better over the years...Any reccomendations? Anything besides these that I might not be aware of that are good for confining a crawling baby to one space? Thanks in advance!! | |

| Emergency food rations - buying in bulk | | We don't shop in Cosco - or very rarely - especially for non pantry items, And although we talk about it we never buy ER food rations - you know for long winter storms - riots - the end of the world as we know it and such.What about you - what do you do and why? | |
| | membership stores | | i don't get it. stores like cosco that you have to buy a yearly membership to shop there. do you actually save money when you have to pay to shop at these stores? i went today with my mother who has a membership but i didn't think they were really that good of deals in there. do you shop at these places. | |
