| | My Son and the Michael Jackson Jacket | | Okay, well we all know our own kids are angels, and other peoples' are brats. My son was pretty good out in public and when he misbehaved, it was only for me. But there was one time when he blew his mind out loud in a store, and he was seven. We all know that is way too old for a child to have a fit in a store. But this. . .this was a vitally important item he was not allowed to have and boy was he pisssed! I had taken him out shopping for his winter coat. We needed something nice and warm, economical but heavy duty as it does get cold here and occasionally snow. Well, Devin spied a jacket and man did he want the thing. It was the height of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" popularity, although before this jacket thing I didn't know my son was such a big fan! This jacket was not a practical winter coat, lol. It was bright red and shiny and had zippers all over it. Can you SEE a seven year old in that jacket? It is called the Pride Jazzy. It is a heavy duty model, cause I am a 'fluffy' kind of female! lol I got my Scooter from the "Scooter Store".
I recommend them to anyone and everyone that needs to be in a chair. They do exactly what the commercial says. All I did was call them and tell them that my doc gave me a prescription for a wheelchair; and three days later. there they were at my front door. A brand new shinny scooter.
It will go up to 25 miles on a single charge. It has inside it two actual car batteries. You plug it in every night. And Boom!!! The next morning I am ready to go again. I have never run out of power. It goes pretty fast for a scooter. It goes 6 to 7 miles per hour.
I like the kind I have because I can put the arm rest completely up so I can pull into a table and sit and eat like everyone else. That is why I didn't get the kind with the basket on the front. They have them also.

| | cats doing things in inappropriate places - a solution that worked for me | | I don't think I wrote about this here on MyLot before, but I have elsewhere. If I did here already, sorry, the memory isn't what it used to be and I don't have the patience to go back through all my old discussions and see. But I digress....We had a peeing problem. We moved and maybe a year afterward one of the cats started peeing on the leather loveseat. No idea why there or why at that time, it just started. We didn't know which cat it was. We tried everything. Ultimately we covered the two remaining pieces (chair and sofa) with heavy duty plastic covers, tossed the loveseat and put another litter box down in the laundry area. We thought we had licked the problem.About a year later we introduced another cat into the house, an unneutered male. Until we got him fixed there was male cat smell in the house and our other two cats got stressed. Whichever cat it was went back to the same place, now it was the chair, and started peeing. Fortunately we had the plastic covers so the chair wasn't ruined, but still we had the smell and the problem to deal with. The pet store recommended pheromones. Actually we tried several things:1. to clean up thoroughly
